Lighthouse Inn on north beach suggests that especially during turtle mating and nesting season — May through October — you might enjoy a more intimate introduction Tybee Island beach, and to the marine life along the Georgia coast.  Call ahead — 912-786-5917 — to confirm the walk with the Center, to include time, place, and payment — $10/person; kids four and under are free.
