Tybee Island Museum

This historic museum, located directly across from the lighthouse in an 1898 coastal artillery battery, offers exhibits that demonstrate how islanders lived in the past.

North Beach Birding Trail

The North Beach Birding Trail boasts many different sea and shore birds, as well as being an excellent place to find shark’s teeth and shells. It is located by the lighthouse and museum.

Sally Pearce Nature Trail

Located just off Highway 80, this trail is home to many forest-dwelling birds. It’s a great place to look for migrants, including more than 30 species of warblers, and Tybee’s official bird, the Painted Bunting.

Tybee Island Marine Science Center

The Center features life indigenous to Coastal Georgia and Beach Discovery Walks are held several times per week.

Tybee Pier & Pavilion

The Pier is located at the south end of the island and is very popular for fishing and strolling. Many beach festivals and events are held there throughout the year. A wide variety of restaurants, bars and beach shops surround the pier.

Tybee Fishing

Visit the shrimp boats, nestled in a local creek. Or set off on a deep sea fishing trip. Perhaps dine in one of the nearby fish restuarants such as the crab shack, with fish straight from the boats. Try our local flounder, its succulent.

Fort Pulaski National Monument

This spectacular monument (Named for Casimir Pulaski) is 2 miles from the inn and offers scenic marshlands, towering walls, artillery tunnels, two moats and a wide drawbridge.
