Tybee Island July 4th Fireworks

Slip away to the fun of 4th of July in the laidback, seaside town and Tybee Island lodging at Lighthouse Inn in the quiet of north beach.  Of course, on the downtown Savannah waterfront, fireworks will light up the night sky of July 4th also.

Tybee Island July 4th Tip: You can see Hilton Head Island’s 4th of July fireworks, looking out across the Tybee Roads breakwaters from Tybee Island’s north beach!  Who knew!?

One last thing. Please, be considerate of others and of the environment – keep your trash contained and put it in the trash barrels (or your own take away trash bag) when you leave the beach or Savannah riverfront!

Tybee Island, Georgia, is an casual Barrier Island community on America’s east coast located just 20 minutes east of historic downtown Savannah.  It is an ideal year-round coastal island destination in the American south, famous since the 1800s for its clear, saltwater breezes believed to be healing for various breathing ailments.  As accommodating as it is laid back with the island’s seaside lore and front porch rocking traditions, Tybee Island is home to miles of pristine beaches, an historic lighthouse complex in the Fort Screven Historic District, Colonial Coast Birding Trail on north beach, Georgia colonization, and American military history. Arguably the first Civil War action was at Fort Pulaski, now a National Park on Cockspur Island. Rich in friendly, relaxed style, Tybee Island also features a hometown style with fresh coastal cuisine in exceptional and character-rich restaurants, charming art galleries, and eclectic shops.
