May 3-7: Savannah Tall Ships Challenge

Savannah, Georgia May 3-7, 2012.  Thursday, May 3, 2012 Tall Ships for the Tall Ships Challenge® Atlantic Coast 2012 begin arriving through Tybee Roads’ channel into the Savannah River.  Events schedule here.

Beginning in the wee hours Thursday, tourists at Tybee Island will help Tybee residents and all in Savannah to welcome some of the most majestic Tall Ships in the world.  Tickets are available for visitors to view all the ships, board many, and even sail aboard a few.

The Savannah Tall Ships Challenge will kick-off with an opening day Parade Sail up the Savannah River under the Talmadge Bridge to the Georgia Ports Authority and back to Savannah’s Riverfront.
