July 3: Tybee Island’s Independence Day Fireworks

TYBEE ISLAND, Georgia —  July 3, 2013, hop into the spirit of freedom with beach fireworks 2013 at Tybee Island Pier.  Free and open to the public.  Parking is limited.

Our Tybee Tips:  If you’re already a guest at Lighthouse Inn, then you’re in great shape!  However, if you’ll be driving in, we recommend arriving on-island early in the day (lunch time). Enjoy the day and an early dinner. Establish parking and be prepared for a crowd … unless you watch the fireworks midway between the south beach pier and the tip of Tybee on north beach.

Remember: Red flashlights (beam must be red) only on the beach.  Tybee islanders are taking care of sea turtles who are nesting now. Stay out of the dunes, please. Be kind and take your trash — leave only footprints on Tybee Beach.

Have fun!
